Before we predicted the ratings of the Los Angeles Lakers players in NBA 2k21, and now it's the Toronto Raptors.
Here's our prediction of the rating of Toronto players in NBA 2k21:
Pascal Siakam – OVR 89
Pascal Siakam has improved every year he's been in the NBA and was a huge reason why Toronto won the NBA Finals last season. He has taken his game to a whole new level over the last twelve months!
Pascal Siakam has established himself as one of the best power forwards in the NBA. He could well jump into the '90s for the first time on 2K21, but we'll stay somewhat reserved at a solid 89 OVR.
Kyle Lowry – 86 OVR
Starting this list off is NBA Champion and one of Toronto's favorite sons, Kyle Lowry.
Down in 27th in terms of the highest-rated players in 2K, it's hard to believe that a player who played a pivotal role in leading the Canadian outfit to a momentous NBA title as they overcame the - albeit injury-hit - Golden State Warriors.
While Lowry's regular-season points average of 14.2 points-per-game might not have him at the top of the scoring charts, he was a chief facilitator along with Kawhi Leonard in everything good about the Raptors.
Lowry was a big player for the Raptors last year, but the loss of Kawhi has allowed Lowry more time with the ball in hand this campaign. His averages have jumped up substantially as a result.
At 34-year-old, Lowry is coming to the twilight of his NBA career, but he should still be one of the better guards in 2K21.
Fred Van Vleet – 83 OVR
Fred VanVleet was a tough defender in college at Wichita State, and his athleticism and quickness have translated well to the NBA in Toronto. He is averaging nearly 11 points per game to go along with almost five assists, and the offense doesn't miss a beat when he steps on the floor. He will need to spike up his numbers the rest of the way to get into strong consideration for the Sixth Man of the Year Award, but there is no doubt he is the driving force behind the Raptors second unit.
He started NBA as a mere 78 OVR. He'll be in the '80s in 2K21, that's for sure!
Serge Ibaka – 81 OVR
He may have only been in Toronto for four years, but Serge Ibaka is definitely a fan favorite north of the border! He made a name for himself as a willing rebounder who could also protect the rim with the best of them.
In 2018-19 NBA playoffs Ibaka played a large role alongside Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard as they brought Toronto their first NBA title.
The 7'0″ Congolese center has turned it ON in the postseason, averaging just shy of 20 points a game as the Raptors made light work of the injury-depleted Brooklyn Nets.
Keep up that average and we could see Serge at an 82 or 83 potentially. For now, an 81 is where we have him.
Marc Gasol – OVR 78
The next player is the Toronto Raptors Spanish center, Marc Gasol.
Whilst he may finally be an NBA Champion, having picked up a long-overdue ring last season following his mid-season move from Memphis to Toronto, Marc Gasol simply isn't the player he once was.
Once considered one of the NBA's best centers, Marc is still an effective squad rotation player, but that's about as far as he goes nowadays and with a 13.6 PPG average last season.
There is no doubting the Spaniard's ability and value to the team, but at 35 years of age, he is spending less and less time on the court, instead of bringing his knowledge to the team off of it.
A final rating in the high 70's is where we have placed him.
Terence Davis – OVR 80
The last one is Toronto Raptors rookie guard Terence Davis.
No player has appeared in more games for the Raptors this season than the 23-year-old who, with an average of 17.8 minutes per game, has become quite the sixth man at the Scotiabank Arena. In his first career start, Davis scored 23 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 5 assists, leading the Raptors to a 112–110 overtime win against the Charlotte Hornets. He scored a career-high 31 points against the Chicago Bulls.
He was 70 OVR at the beginning of 2K20. He'll be nowhere near that on 2K21.
