NBA 2K22 will have three different editions with their own prices and pre-order rewards, and it's no surprise that the most expensive options will come with the most rewards.
1). Standard Edition
The Dallas Mavericks' all-star guard Luka Dončić will be the official NBA 2K22 cover athlete. The 22-year-old Slovenian player averaged 27.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game this season while leading his squad to a 42-30 record.
NBA 2K22's Standard Edition is available as normal or an exclusive WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition (WNBA version on next-gen only) through GameStop in North America.
The rewards are the same, but they will cost $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and just $59.99 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Like the Cross-Gen Digital Bundle, this version will include NBA 2K22 on both current and next-gen (either PS4 & PS5 or Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S), and the additional rewards offered to boost the price to $99.99.

4). WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition
The WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition of NBA 2K22 is available exclusively through GameStop and features WNBA superstar Candace Parker of the Chicago Sky. This is the first time in 2K history that a WNBA player has been on the cover.
Candace Parker is a logical choice to have as an NBA 2K cover athlete, having been in the WNBA since 2008. Primarily playing forward, Parker has been a six-time WNBA All-Star and two-time WNBA MVP during her tenure in the league. She also won the WNBA Finals MVP in 2016, adding to her extensive list of accomplishments that led her to get a cover nod.
On top of that, the edition will only be available for next-gen consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X, for $69.99.

Pre-Order to Play NBA 2K22 ASAP
If you want to play NBA 2K22 ASAP, you'll want to pre-order the game.
Unlike some previous years, there isn't an early release date attached to higher-end bundles. All NBA 2K22 editions will come out on the same day. That means your first chance to play the full version of NBA 2K22 will be September 10th or September 9th.
If you pre-order a digital copy of the game, you can pre-load it before the game's release date. The game should unlock at Midnight Eastern on September 10th, which means those in western time zones will be able to play it the evening of September 9th.
If you pre-order a physical copy of NBA 2K22, you won't get your delivery until the morning, afternoon, or night of September 10th unless you can find a midnight launch event.
Pre-Order for Early NBA 2K22 Deals
If you want to pre-order NBA 2K22 but want to spend less than the MSRP, you most likely won't have to wait.
It's early, so we haven't seen many NBA 2K22 offers yet, but we should also see retailers like Amazon, Costco, and Green Man Gaming offer slight discounts on NBA 2K22 pre-orders in the weeks ahead.
